Ginger's Lesbian Pop-ups - Christchurch
Event description
AFTERPAY AVAILABLE AT CHECKOUT
Ginger’s is back in Ōtautahi for one night only on Saturday, 28 June from 7pm to midnight at a secret location (revealed to ticket holders the week of the event).
We’re bringing an all-star lineup from across the country for one night of arm wrestling, live confessions, and epic queer bangers!
First up: The Grip Pit, our VERY popular sapphic arm-wrestling smackdown hosted by Wellington’s Alice Soper, rugby commentator and Women in Rugby podcast host. Alice is ready to hype the crowd, throw a little shade, and make you wish you’d done a few extra curls at the gym. Whether you’re here to flex, flirt, heckle or just admire the biceps, it’s your moment.
Want to throw down? DM us to get on the list.
Auckland’s Cassie Roma (The Apprentice, Celebrity Treasure Island, TEDx speaker) is back and kicking off the night with live audience confessionals, interactive games, and snippets of podcast recording that might just feature your cheeky story. Expect plenty of lols!
Later in the night, prepare for a spicy special guest performance.
Emily C Browning | Your Girl Richard - a musical legend with credits including wiritng with the team behind Maroon 5 and Dua Lipa, will be on the decks spinning queer anthems, disco cuts, and dancefloor faves until midnight.
Toasty Shack CHCH will be serving up toasties, fries and all the yummy kai to purchase all night long because wrestling and dancing work up a a hello van appetite.
Around the space:
Love Letter Wall - read messages shared from around the country and leave a note of hope, encouragement or humour.
Full bar with alcoholic and non-alcoholic options (we have a fab range of zero alc options too) from rainbow-friendly suppliers.
Solo? You’re not alone. In fact, 50% of our attendees come solo - the only hard part is showing up. After that, we promise you’ll have a blast. Whether you’re solo, with mates, or figuring it out on the night there’s a place for you.
Accessibility and safety:
Accessible toilets and wide entry.
No backpacks or large bags allowed inside.
R18 event - valid NZ ID required at the door.
Our team and security are fully briefed to keep things safe, because safe spaces aren’t optional.
Please note: Tickets are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled. If the lineup changes, the venue shifts, or a meteor takes out the dancefloor, we’ll replace it with something equally fabulous. If you just change your mind or cannot attend, it is non refundable but we are happy for you to on-sell your ticket or gift it to a friend.
