Gingers Lesbian Pop-ups -Hamilton
Description
Ginger's Pop-up Hamilton Friday 16 May | 7pm - 11:30pm | Hamilton CBD AFTERPAY AVAILABLE AT CHECKOUT
Ginger's is a national award-winning lesbian pop-up that travels the country doing the things we actually want - events, bush camps, boat parties, retreats, and a global lesbian podcast. We're lesbian-centred, FLINTA inclusive, and genuinely welcoming to anyone who's new to the community or still figuring it out. If this feels like your people - it is.
Hamilton, you're up.
The Venue Secret until the week of the event. What we'll tell you - it's in the heart of Hamilton CBD, easy to get to, and it sets the vibe immediately. Some things are worth the wait.
The Night
A full bar. Fernando's Taco Truck outside. DJ Ayesha on until midnight — she's played Glastonbury and Pride festivals across Aotearoa, and she will not let you stand still.
A few things happening around the space that we think you'll love — some low key, some a bit silly, all very us. We keep a couple of surprises up our sleeve and we like it that way.
There's a Confession Wall -notes left by lesbians from events across the country. Read them. Add one. Leave something for the next city.
There's also a Sensory Space tucked away all night. No small talk required.
3 Minute Mates Three minutes, a stranger, one goal. Make a friend, find your person, or at minimum get a good story out of it. Hosted on the night - come ready.
The Dating Game - Live on Stage Think lesbian dating show energy. A bit chaotic, a lot funny, and genuinely one of those things you'll be talking about on the way home. You don't have to participate - watching and cackling from your seat is a completely valid and highly encouraged option. If you do want to get involved though, DM us ahead of the night.
DJ Ayesha - Live til Midnight From Glastonbury and Pride festivals across Aotearoa. Expect bangers, queer anthems, and a dancefloor you won't want to leave.
Coming Solo? Lesbians invented arriving alone and leaving with three new best friends and a standing dinner plan. We can connect you with other solo goers before the night - just ask.
Accessibility + Safety Fully accessible venue - ramps, wide doorways, accessible bathrooms. No strobe lighting. Sensory break area available all night. Security and our team on site. Ginger's is a safe space, full stop.
Strictly R18 - valid NZ ID at the door. No large bags or backpacks.
Non-refundable unless the event is cancelled. Minor changes may occur.
