Girl Talk @ Ashleigh Megan Health & Fitness
Event description
☾ HAVE YOU EVER WONDERED WHY SOME DAYS OF THE
MONTH YOU ARE FULL OF ENERGY, WHILE OTHERS YOU WANT TO STAY IN BED AND HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH PEOPLE?
☾ Why you can hit pb's one day and then struggle with the same thing a few weeks later?
☾ Has anyone ever told you to stop being so hormonal… like it was a bad thing?
What if I told you that these changes in your body are not erratic or unpredictable? That they are
cyclical, beautiful, powerful. That understanding them could be your greatest strength rather than something you just have to go through...
Join Liz as she takes you through the hormonal, physical and emotional changes that occur throughout your menstrual cycle. We will cover how these changes impact your health and well-being (because it's not just in your head!), and go over how you can use this knowledge to reconnect to your body, get the most out of your training and be the best version of yourself all cycle long!

STILL HAVE SOME QUESTIONS?
︾
I have never been to an event like this before, does that matter?
Of course not! A lot of the knowledge that you will be receiving in this workshop is brand new to everyone. There are
no requirements for any prior learnings or practices as we will go through everything you need on the night. All I ask is that you come with an open heart for the other women around you, and an open
mind so that you get the most out of it.
How is the workshop delivered?
Throughout the workshop I will take you through the education you should have got in school. This will combine sharing my knowledge, alongside open
discussion and reflection activities, all while bringing together a community of
like-minded women.
I don’t have a regular cycle, does that matter?
Nope! Even if you aren’t cycling naturally now, you are still more than welcome to come along. This education is
valuable for people through all walks of life from menarche to menopause and beyond. If you aren't cycling naturally right now I will offer you some alternative ways of charting and journaling
with your cycle.
Does this workshop apply to women who don’t have a menstrual cycle? Eg on hormonal birth control.
Pregnant, breastfeeding, menopausal, trans women, experiencing amenorrhea?
Yes! Even if you aren’t cycling naturally now, you are still more than welcome to come along. This education is
valuable for people through all walks of life and I will offer some alternative ways of charting and journaling
with your cycle.
What should I wear on the evening?
Please wear comfortable clothing that is non restrictive as we will be on the floor* and doing a tiny bit of moving throughout the evening.
*(If you require a chair please let us know!)
Do I need to bring anything?
Yes! Bring your beautiful self, an open mind and heart and water. You are also welcome to bring along your fave journal, pen and yoga mat (if you have a fave one - if not that is ok too, they will be provided).
You are also invited to bring along a friend or family member who you feel will benefit from learning this knowledge as well.
What is parking like?
There is plenty of parking in the complex where Ashleigh Megan Health & Fitness is located. There is also street parking available on Templar Place.

Liz Burton
Liz Burton is a menstrual cycle educator and creatress of Wild Womb Co-. Through workshops, presentations and online courses, she is on a mission to spread period awareness and deliver the education on cycles that you should have got in school.
Liz initially graduated University with a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Forensics but changed directions after realising how many women around her didn’t understand the changes happening in their bodies each month, and how this impacted on their ability to make informed health decisions. She believes that everyone needs to know these lessons about their body, and through her teachings Liz will show you how to harness the power of your cycle so that you can truly love yourself, live your most empowered life, and make a positive impact on the lives of those around you.

"I love the way Liz teaches and educates on the magic of your menstrual cycle! She brings a fun, grounded and
approachable way to a sometimes-overwhelming topic so whether you are completely new to this work, or have been
tracking for months, you will still receive so much fresh wisdom.
I have been to Liz's Cycle Workshops and walked away with a greater connection to and appreciate of my cycle, with
a deeper understanding of why certain patterns, emotions, physical changes, and thoughts play out at different
times of the month for me. I have been so inspired by Liz to track my cycle each day and build a stronger
relationship with my body and my femininity.”
