Event description

Clay Club is bringing you a GIRL DINNER workshop for your chill Saturday afternoon craft session!

Spend your Saturday afternoon learning the basics of hand building pottery in a relaxed, creative environment at our small home based studio. Get your creative juices flowing and making a GIRL DINNER inspired nibbly bowl/plate, meet some new people, try out a new hobby, and just get crafty.

In this workshop I will help you hand build your “girl dinner” grazing plate/bowl. Whether your girl dinner consists of cheese and crackers, leftover fruit from last weeks shop, or pickles and olives we will create a dish where all your foodie bits can go. We can use stamps and cutters to create some cute AF decorations on your piece as well as underglaze paint if you want to get your Picasso on.

Once the session is over, we leave the pieces to air dry for 1-2 weeks before heading to the kiln for the first bisque firing. Once this is complete I will clear glaze your pieces before heading back to the kiln for the final firing making your piece food safe.

This workshop is perfect for beginners 🤍

What’s included:

Clay

Tools

Cutters, stamps and underglaze to decorate your creation

2x Firings

Some light refreshments and a beverage to sip on while you create

Your creations will be ready for pick up in approx 4-6 weeks after the workshop

Disclaimer: As with pottery, not all pieces will survive and it is often left to the kiln gods on how pieces turn out. We will try our best to have everything come back from the kilns safely but cannot be held responsible if any pieces crack or break.
