Welcome to Giro D'Parade - the 2025 Parade Community Bike Ride

The 35km ride commences at 9am from Parade Preston Campus utilising bike lanes and bike pathways and will finish at 12:45pm at the Parade Bundoora Campus.


STAGES (riders can participate in all or some of the stages)

Stage 1 |  9:00am. Parade Preston Campus to Bluestone Pile. Approximate distance 9km. Flat.

Route: High Street South to Oakover Road, crossing to St George’s Road bike path. At Merri Parade, join bike path to cross into North Fitzroy, following bike path through gardens to Napier Street, crossing Queens Parade and Alexander Parade and continuing along bike lane on Napier Street to Victoria Parade. Cross Victoria Parade and follow footpath to the original site of Parade College known as the Bluestone Pile.

Stage 2 | 10:15am.  Bluestone Pile to Alphington (Flowerdale). Approximate distance 12km. Hills.

Route: Cross Victoria Parade and proceed via a left turn into Wellington Street along bike lane. Right turn at Gipps Street and follow Gipps Street to Yarra River. Cross over pedestrian/cycle bridge to The Boulevard and proceed along bike lane towards Chandler Highway. Cross under Chandler Highway and follow Yarra Bicycle trail to Darebin Creek trail. Follow Darebin Creek trail past the old Parade Alphington campus to Sparks reserve Alphington.

Stage 3 | 11:30am. Alphington to Bundoora. Approximate distance 14km. Flat.

Route: Follow Darebin Creek along Darebin bike path until Bundoora. Cross over the creek at Greenhills Road Bridge, follow to Tasman Drive to Taunton Drive to Plenty Road, crossing Plenty Road to the college entrance and proceeding to the back of the College.

Finish | The ride will finish at Parade College, Bundoora where the College Open Day will be underway and a sausage sizzle and prize presentation will be available for participants.
