Bowls, BBQ, and a buzz of friendly competition – your perfect Friday night is right here.

On October 10th first time bowlers are welcome at Hampstead Bowling Club, a relaxed and social club with plenty of good vibes! Step onto the green for a night of laughs, lawn bowls, and connection. Doors open at 5.30pm and bowling starts around 6pm. We'll have the bbq ready at the conclusion of the bowling, after 7pm. Feel free to stay and mingle or head away when you need to.

We’ll supply all the gear and give you the basics so you can get rolling right away. All you need are flat-soled shoes (or barefeet). Bowls is not just for retirees – discover how fun (and a little competitive!) it can be. Kids are welcome to tag along – those 12+ can bowl if they are keen, and younger ones can enjoy the space and atmosphere.

After the bowls, stick around for a BBQ dinner (included in your $5 ticket). The club bar will be open if you'd like to buy a drink.

With raffles, laughs, and a great crew, this is the ultimate social Friday night – the perfect chance to connect, move, and boost your wellbeing.

Spaces are limited, so if you are an experienced bowler, please don't book in. If you're a complete beginner, go ahead and round up your friends and book now! Or just come solo - you'll meet plenty of friendly folks there.

This event is organised by the Hampstead Bowls Club and Keep Learning Mid Canterbury. In the unfortunate event of rain, the event will be cancelled and your tickets refunded.
