Looking for a fun way to meet people in your local area? Give It A Go! is a free, welcoming community adventure taking place across different locations in the City of Swan, and in 2026 we're bringing the fun to Dayton!
Each week you'll have the chance to discover a hidden hobby, learn something new, share a laugh and connect with other local people in a relaxed, low-pressure environment. Whether you're new to the area, looking to make new connections, or simply keen to try something different, everyone is welcome.
There's no expectation to attend every week or to be good at anything. Just come along, have a go, and enjoy being part of your local community.
📋 What to Expect
Every session is a little different, with a mix of social, creative and hands-on activities. Depending on the week, you might enjoy:
Board games and table games
Arts, crafts and creative projects
Guest presenters sharing new skills and ideas
Fun challenges and group activities
Friendly conversations over tea or coffee
Plenty of laughter and opportunities to meet new people
You can join in as much or as little as you'd like. Some people love trying every activity, while others are happy to sit back with a cuppa and enjoy a chat. Both are perfectly welcome.

Morning tea, activities and everything else will be provided.
🚌 Getting Here & Parking
The Eastern Blades Hockey Club is located on Arthur Street at the District Open Space in Dayton and is easy to access by car.
Free parking is available at the venue.
If you're travelling by public transport, Transperth bus services operate in the surrounding area. We recommend using the Transperth Journey Planner to find the easiest route for you.

The venue has accessible entry and accessible toilet facilities.
If you have any accessibility requirements or would like to chat about how we can make your visit as comfortable as possible, we'd love to hear from you before you attend.
🚪 Finding Us
Once you arrive, head to the Eastern Blades Hockey Club clubhouse, just to the right.
Our friendly team will be there to welcome you, help you settle in and introduce you to others if you'd like. If it's your first visit, don't worry, we'll help you find your feet.
