Event description

Join Volunteer Fairfax for our annual family-friendly volunteer event: Give Together. This event takes place on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, the only National Holiday dedicated to volunteer service and designated as a "day-on, not a day-off." This event is intended to support families who want to serve together and learn about issues affecting our community by interacting with several local nonprofit partners across a variety of mission areas.

This opportunity is specifically designed for teens (ages 13-18) who want to participate as Teen Volunteers Helpers.  By signing up for this event you are registering to support families and younger children complete service projects.  Your are participating as support for nonprofit partners who will be running projects for this event.  Parents who accompany teens can wait on premises but teens are expected to participate independently.  Teens will be given a special Event Volunteer t-shirt and can only sign-up for 1 shift: morning or afternoon.  Please do not sign-up for both shifts.

Please note that this is a free event open to the public but REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.  Volunteer Fairfax reserves the right to take pictures and video of participants and volunteers at the event and to use in marketing and communications materials.
