Glebe Art Show: Sip and Draw - guided figure drawing session
Description
A relaxed, social figure drawing session in the gallery, guided by artist Emma Ferguson, with a wine in hand and a warm, easygoing room full of art.
There is a draped model, a series of short, timed poses, and a handful of playful exercises that free everyone up to just enjoy the mark making. Emma has a real knack for making it feel easy, so you can come along completely fresh and still have a ball. Bring your own materials if you like, and we will have paper, pencils and charcoal on hand for you to use.
We finish with a friendly show and tell, and there are prizes for a couple of standout sketches, awarded as art vouchers. That is the lovely part: a real chance to take home an artwork at a bargain while backing one of our local artists.
Whether you draw all the time or have not picked up a pencil since school, leave the nerves at the door and give it a go. See more of Emma's work at instagram.com/emmaferguson.art.
What is included: a glass of wine, use of drawing materials (or bring your own), Emma's guidance for the evening, and the chance to win art vouchers towards one of the Artworks.
Description
Arrive and grab a glass of wine. Your host will then gather all participants, outline the running order and Emma will provide participants with a window into her process and some exercises. It's designed to be a bit of fun and no experience is necessary.
