Frog walk, Glenwood estate, Baranduda
Event description
A late afternoon, relaxed walk and talk with the Friends of the WRENs to visit potential habitats for frogs in the Glenwood Estate at Baranduda.
An opportunity to consider how urban development can incorporate habitat for wildlife, with a focus on frogs. We'll explore three ponds and walk alongside a reserve, G5A.
Led by Karen Retra from Wodonga Landcare, we will also discuss:
- Using the FrogID app to learn about and record frogs
- Latest news from the Sloane's Champions project in Wodonga
- Your experiences with, or questions about, FrogID, as well as listening for frogs and tips for using the app
Please register (for free!) - for communication, safety and insurance purposes, including to keep you informed should plans change.
Meet near the pond opposite 2 Ponting Way, close to the intersections with Lexcen St and Glenwood Boulevard.
We will visit two other ponds (storm water retention basins) nearby in the estate.
