Event description

Glitter Gel Pen Book Club

Welcome to Glitter Gel Pen Book Club — a Sydney meet-up for like-minded girlies who want to romanticise their lives, read sugary novels, and yap about them over a glass (or two) of natty wine. We’re here for the “frivolous” feel-good fiction and a space to unapologetically enjoy and discuss books beyond 19th-century literary classics.

So if you’re in your twenties or thirties, craving a bit of escapism and love a rom-com with your rosé in an aesthetic setting, welcome to your new favourite cal invite.

Event Details

There’s no better way to spend a Thursday evening than tucked away in Fabbrica Darlinghurst’s private dining room with pasta, wine, and the girls. Our next meet-up is your midweek escape, four courses, a welcome glass, and all the feel-good chats about books, pop culture, and life with like-minded women.

When: Thursday, 20 November, 6:30 pm.
What: A glass of wine + a decadent spread of Fabbrica’s iconic Italian dishes, their famous burrata, handmade pasta, and indulgent tiramisu included (all dietary requirements catered for too).
Where: Fabbrica Pasta Bar Darlinghurst
Book: Picking Daisies on Sundays**

Your ticket includes:

  • A private dining experience at Fabbrica Darlinghurst, a shared feast in their upstairs dining room.

  • A welcome glass of wine (or non-alcoholic alternative) on arrival.

  • A little GGP sparkle, curated goodie bags, playful accessories to jot your hot takes, and ongoing access to our community so the vibes last long after dinner ends.

To keep our meet-ups intimate (while ensuring as many of you as possible can join!), we’ll be hosting two book club nights in November.

💌 Saturday, 15th November – Table Manners, Bronte

💌 Thursday, 20th November – Fabbrica Pasta Bar, Darlinghurst

We’ll be discussing the same book at both meet-ups, and both nights will be equally joyful, just hosted at different venues, with slightly different ticket prices based on the space and menu. You’re welcome to book whichever one suits you best!

  • A note on pricing: Our ticket prices vary depending on the venue, but our goal is always to keep events as accessible (and great value) as possible. Each ticket supports a local spot we adore, while covering delicious food, natural wine, and a few wholesome hours of connection and escapism without blowing the budget. Let’s be real: being a girl who loves to eat out, hoard books, and have a social life in Sydney isn’t exactly cheap. That’s why we run GGP for community, not profit. And the cherry on top? Humanitix fees go straight to charity, so thank you, you generous queen!
