Glitter Gel Pen Book Club
Welcome to Glitter Gel Pen Book Club — a Sydney meet-up for like-minded girlies who want to romanticise their lives, read sugary novels, and yap about them over a glass (or two) of natty wine. We’re here for the “frivolous” feel-good fiction and a space to unapologetically enjoy and discuss books beyond 19th-century literary classics.
So if you’re in your twenties or thirties, craving a bit of escapism and love a rom-com with your rosé in an aesthetic setting, welcome to your new favourite cal invite. Coming solo? Perfect. Most of our members do, and it’s how the best friendships start.

Event Details
What: For one night only, we’re turning Buddy’s into a cosy living room. Settle in amongst the fairy lights with fellow fans for a special GGP screening of The Summer I Turned Pretty finale, on the big screen, the night it drops.
Where: Buddy’s, Newtown
When: Wednesday, 17th September (FINALE NIGHT!)
Session 1: Arrive from 6:30 pm for a 7:00 pm screening, followed by debriefs and drinks downstairs.
Session 2: Arrive from 8:00 pm (or earlier — we’ll have an area reserved for you!) for an 8:30 pm screening, then join us downstairs for debriefs and good times.
Your Ticket Includes:
Watch the finale episode of The Summer I Turned Pretty on a big screen with like-minded fans.
1 x glass of wine on arrival (or non-alcoholic alternative) + 2 tacos (veggie + GF options available)
Post-episode group debrief downstairs (because we’ll obviously need to unpack everything)
A little extra sparkle: GGP accessories for your note-scribbling, plus ongoing access to our Glitter Gel Pen community so the chat can continue well after the event!
Plus, Buddy’s is spoiling us with $10 drinks for the rest of the evening for GGP members so that you can kick on with your new book club besties.

We partner with local venues we love, ensuring each ticket supports their business while covering good food, natural wine, and a couple of wholesome hours of connection and escapism, without breaking the bank. Because let’s be honest: being a girl who loves to eat out, hoard books and have a social life in Sydney isn’t exactly cheap. We’re here for community, not profit.
