Global Health: Principles in Practice
Description
Global Health: Principles in Practice
How to ensure your involvement in global health partnership activity is safe, effective and ethical
CGHP’s Principles in Practice workshop is for healthcare staff and academic clinicians of all levels and cadres who are interested, in the early planning stages, or who’ve recently participated in global health work.
The interactive, half-day workshop provides a vital introduction to the principles that guide best practice and the necessary steps to ensure health partnership activity is safe, effective, and ethical.
You’ll learn about CGHP, our values, and where and how we currently work with partners in the UK and around the world. Plus, you'll hear directly from our members: the people involved in CGHP-supported global health projects about their experiences, how they ensure their work is safe, effective and ethical, and the learning and development they've gained along the way.
The workshop is also an opportunity to meet others who are beginning their global health journey and to consider where and how you’d most like to contribute.
We’ll have tea, coffee, and light pastries available on arrival, with a short coffee break mid-morning.
Location: School of Clinical Medicine, Seminar Room 10
