Global Wellness Day (GWD) is a global movement raising awareness of living well throughout the world.

It is a special opportunity to bring together community to celebrate Peace and Joy within Ireland.

Global Wellness Day was born in Sapanca, Turkey as an entirely not-for-profit FREE event in 2012 by Belgin Aksoy.

Global Wellness Day is an international day that is celebrated on the second Saturday of June every year as a public event which turns everyone’s shared dream of ‘living well’ into reality.

#Reconnect Magenta is the heart of Global Wellness Day 2025. It revolves around the central idea of reconnecting with yourself, nature, your voice & your community.

Join us for a day to learn practical tips of using Herbs in everyday Life, join a fun lunchtime dance to get your energy moving; Join in an Ireland wide meditation for peace and joy or have a good ole sing along and bop in the evening with a live Natural Voice Choir, trad musician Tom Portman and DJ Des!

12.30pm - 1.30pm - Join Nora from ‘Nia’ Dance for a fun lunchtime Dance Class @ St. Joseph's Community Centre, Ashe Road. Suitable from 16 +
2.00 - 3.00pm - Meditation and Movement for Peace & Joy with Laragh & Sarah from Soulmoves Studio @ St. Joseph's Community Centre, Ashe Road.
7.30-9.30pm - Enjoy a FUN evening for all the family with 'Galway Sing Circle' Choir, local musician Tom Portman & DJ Des @ St. Joseph's Community Centre, Ashe Road. Enjoy a complimentary Matcha Mojito Mocktails, hot cuppas, Spicy Cacao and Elderflower & Rose Cordial on entry ;) As this is an Everyone Welcome Event it will be Alcohol Free.
