Event description

Since 2019 we have been planting trees to enhance the Great Western Wildlife Corridor, with over 27,000 feed and nest tree species planted on private and public land to support resources so badly damaged by drought and fire

Glossy-black cockatoos are creatures of habit, eating only a very few types of tree seeds. Allocasuarina littoralis, the Black She-oak, is the primary feed tree species in the Southern highlands.

It's a great way to get involved in your community, meet new people and make a difference. Everyone is welcome. We hope to see you there.

This tree planting is proudly supported by the volunteers from the Southern Highlands Landcare Network.
