GLOW Roller Disco returns for a special Youthfest edition this September School Holidays!

🌈 This event includes:

  • All sessions run for 3 hours - more time to skate, enjoy the atmosphere, make new friends and enjoy some food (lunch or dinner?)
  • All ages and skill levels welcome.
  • Optional FREE 30 minute skate lesson at the beginning of your 3hr session for those beginners/intermediate level skaters who want it. Learn to skate or build on existing skills. Then try out your new skills at the 3 hour disco!
  • This event is strictly drug, alcohol, smoke and vape free.

🌈 Session times:

  • 11:00am – 2:00pm (all ages)
  • 3:00pm – 6:00pm (all ages)
  • 7:00pm – 10:00pm (18+ only)

🌈 Tickets:

  • FREE for 12-25 year-olds (please bring ID)
  • Adults 26+ $25pp (or $20pp when you buy 4 or more)
  • Kids 11yrs and under $20pp
  • Spectators $5

🌈 Prizes to be won:

  • Impala skate voucher valued at $169.
  • Light-up skate wheels valued at $100.
  • GLOW t-shirt valued at $40.
  • (Additional GLOW accessories as prizes for games played during the session.)

  • Nature based creative art activities!

🌈 Accessibility/additional Information:

  • Spectators welcome. Don’t want to skate? Come for food (lunch or dinner?) and watch the action.
  • Food and drink will be for sale. Only free water is available on site.
  • Entry is via Gate 5 on Williams Rd opposite SPC.
  • Free parking is onsite on the gravel, unmarked. Plenty of room to park on site.
  • Need to get PT? Check out the number 7 bus route Shepparton Showground/Williams Rd - Public Transport Victoria (ptv.vic.gov.au).
  • Rug up, the space is a concrete floor, tin shed – so it may not be as warm or cool as you expect, we suggest you bring layers.
  • There will be some tables and chairs available.
  • The space is a large metal shed with a very high ceiling. There are large glass doors that will let light in during the day. The last session of the day will have less lighting.
  • Tickets are best pre-purchased, then you get to jump into the express line upon entry.
  • Tickets are available for sale on the door. Card is preferred or the correct cash amount will help our volunqueers out.
  • You CAN bring your own skates; your ticket price includes skate hire if you need to hire them. Prices are the same if you hire skates or not.
  • Wrist, elbow and knee pads are available but please BYO helmet if you want to wear one. We strongly recommend this for ALL skaters.
  • Please be mindful of your personal belongings and ensure you are responsible for your own items. The event organisers are NOT responsible for any property loss, theft of damage.
    All gender bathrooms are available onsite.
  • All bathrooms are accessed by going outside and then into the toilet block building.
  • An all gender, all accessible bathroom is on site.
  • Listen to the instructions from staff and volunteers, especially in regards to safety.
  • Please be respectful of staff and volunteers whilst at the event.
  • Please consider the health of yourself and others. if you are unwell, we would appreciate you taking care of yourself and us, by making the choice to stay home. Colds, flu’s and Covid are still very much present in our community.
  • Service animals are welcome at this event.

🌈 Event Social Script:

  • Bring along items that you might need to feel more comfortable. This might be fidget items, headphones, a drink bottle, a snack to eat. You don’t have to bring anything, but you can bring items if you would like to.
  • The event will have people from organisations and workplaces, many who work with young people, families, children and adults. There will be LGBTIQA+ people at the event.
  • There will be excitement, celebration, happiness, and overall, the vibe will be high energy through the event. The purpose of this event is to bring people together to enjoy activities, learn to skate, have fun, dance and enjoy skating.
  • There will be music throughout the majority of the session. People may clap and cheer to show their excitement at times during the event.
  • People will be taking photos of themselves and others on phones or cameras, or the photobooth at this event.
  • The event runs for 3 hours. People may stay for the whole 3 hours, or less. There may be times when there are more or less people at the event.
  • You will have the option to engage in numerous hands-on activities provided by different organisations.
  • You will be able to collect and eat food at this event. You will need to pay for your own food.
  • You can hang out as long as you like, there will be a chillout zone, but this is in the same room as the main event, so it may still be loud for you.
