Green Music Community Call #4
Description
Want to connect with other people who are as passionate about music and climate as you are?
Join like-minded climate-conscious musicians, music workers and music lovers for an online hang, hosted by former triple j radio presenter and current Green Music Australia community organiser Tim Shiel.
During this Zoom call, you will:
→ Learn about upcoming music-driven climate actions you can support
→ Be the first to learn about upcoming volunteer opportunities at music festivals + events
→ Connect in breakout rooms with other people who care about music + climate
Our guest this month is advocate/activist Desiree Cai, who is currently a community organiser with Make Big Polluters Pay, a grassroots campaign fighting for the establishment of a climate compensation fund for communities impacted by climate pollution. You’ll learn about why what they are doing is important and how it might be relevant to music and musicians.
This online event is designed to foster connection and collaboration - so come along ready to meet some folks who care about music and climate action as much as you do.
When you register, you will be asked to answer a few questions. This will help us update our records, and is also an opportunity for you to share with us any thoughts you have ahead of the call.
Attendance is free.
See you there,
Tim
