Application of Technology for Improved Mine Operations

The GMG Sydney Forum is a two-day gathering focused on improving surface mine operations through the effective use of technology. Mining operators, OEMs, OTMs, integrators, and innovators will come together to share case studies, discuss lessons learned, and co-create strategies for achieving safer, more productive, and more sustainable operations.

The program is designed around the following 2 key themes:

• Rethinking Mine Design & Future Operations: As mining operations evolve, mine design must adapt to support new technologies, changing operating models, and long-term sustainability goals

• Zero Entry: mining without people in the mine. While eliminating human exposure to risk is central, the impact goes far beyond health and safety. Zero entry approaches open the door to greater productivity, lower capital intensity, lower operating costs, access to new orebodies, and more sustainable, efficient mining systems — on surface, underground, and in processing.
