A community-led initiative designed to foster opportunity, skill development, and shared inquiry into the art of Contact Improvisation and improvised ensemble dance-making.

AGENDA

1PM — DANCING WITH THE FLOOR (Solo Training)
A 1-hour technical floorwork session to build foundational skills for Contact Improvisation.

We’ll train falling — into, out of, up, and down — by finding safe-enough pathways into and out of the floor, using momentum, softness, and structure to rise and return with enough control to keep dancing, developing fluency in the art of falling itself.

2:15PM — PERFORMANCE-IN-PROGRESS (CiPRE Showing)
You get to take a break, maybe eat an orange, and SEE what we do.

We (CiPRE) offer a performance-in-progress — rough around the edges, unfolding in real time, and drawn from our recent practice and shared research into the art of improvised ensemble performance.

3PM — WORKSHOP: DO WHAT WE DID
A skills-based breakdown inspired by the scores and techniques used in the performance...., sliding into a Jam to explore, integrate, and art-play it out within a shared container held by the group.

6PM — GO HOME or come for dinner at a nearby pub
