The Young Leaders Conference is a partnership between The City of Gold Coast and BOP Industries designed to engage year 7 and 8 students from across the Gold Coast.
How can our young people make a difference in the community?
Over the course of one action-packed day students will be hearing from community changemakers, developing their skills with hands-on activities, and exploring what initiatives they can launch to make change in their community as they meet other aspiring young leaders from schools across the Gold Coast.
The Conference program features opportunities for students to explore topics around leadership, civics and citizenship, and levels of government as they explore the different ways in which young people can make an impact on the Gold Coast.
This is an unmissable opportunity for your students to take part in an engaging day of activities, designed to connect, inspire and make a difference.
FAQs
Who is this for:Â The Young Leaders conference is designed for Year 7 & 8 students on the Gold Coast. We recommend this program for students that have interests in leadership, community and HASS subjects.
What you need to bring: All we ask is that you bring yourselves and a device if you have access to one. We'll be providing everything you'll need for activities, along with a catered morning tea and lunch for all staff and students.
What to expect: The Young Leaders Conference is a day of exploration that will see students hearing from keynote speakers, learning from panel discussions, and participating in a range of workshops and activities.
