Gondwana Rainforest Trust - Workshop and field trip
Event description
Introduction
The Wet Tropics Restoration Alliance invites you to join a workshop and field trip exploring current restoration activities of the Gondwana Rainforest Trust. This event will highlight key practices such as targeted revegetation, assisted natural regeneration (ANR), and the integration of conventional and chemical-free management practices, showcasing how these methods are being applied on restoration sites in the Daintree. We’ll also explore how insights from their ANR work in northern New South Wales has shaped restoration plans for their newly acquired property at Lot 2, Old Forest Creek Road and discuss a research monitoring program that will be incorporated as part of the restoration plan.
Following the morning workshop, participants will travel by bus to visit the restoration sites in person.
