Description

Inner Sanctuary is a space to step away from the busyness of daily life and be held in stillness through the immersive vibrations of the gong. Each session offers a subtle unfolding, guiding you from grounding in the body, to softening the mind, into deep rest, and towards a quiet reconnection within.

Rather than doing or processing, this is an invitation to simply lie down and receive. The sound supports the nervous system to settle, helping to release accumulated tension and restore a sense of inner balance and ease.

Suitable for all levels. No prior experience is needed.

Venue: The Life Centre, 86 Jervois Road, Ponsonby, Auckland 1011

Duration: Tuesdays, 6:30–7:30 pm (60 mins)

Dates:

  • 25 August

  • 1, 22, 29 September

  • 6, 13, 20, 27 October

  • 3, 10, 17, 24 November

(Please note that there are no Gong Bath sessions on 8 & 15 September.)

Pricing: $30 (individual session)

What to expect:

The session lasts approximately 60 minutes.

We'll begin with a short welcome and introduction, followed by a brief guided moment to help you settle, set an intention, and prepare for the sound journey.

You'll then be immersed in around 45 minutes of live sound, featuring a range of handcrafted gongs (24"–50") together with other therapeutic instruments such as singing bowls, chimes and gentle percussion.

After the sound journey, there will be a few moments of silence to allow the vibrations to settle and integrate before you're gently guided back to the present moment, returning to a seated position feeling grounded, refreshed and relaxed.

Comfort & Practical Notes:

• Mats, bolsters, blankets, and eye masks are provided

• You’re welcome to bring your own mat, blanket, pillow, or eye mask for extra comfort

• Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a water bottle

• Kindly arrive 10 minutes early to settle in

Parking:

No parking is available at the venue. As it is located on busy Jervois Road, please avoid parking there. We recommend parking on Prosford Street (just behind), where free parking is available.

Contraindications:

Gong baths are not recommended during the first trimester of pregnancy, or for those with sound-sensitive conditions, severe mental health conditions, or medical implants such as pacemakers. If unsure, please consult your healthcare provider or feel free to contact me.

We look forward to sharing this peaceful and nourishing sound journey with you.

  • I usually feel extremely relaxed straight after your sessions, and I always sleep very well for the next few nights which I attribute to the sound meditation.

  • A Special Journey

This is a journey indeed. I lost track of time and space after the first few minutes and by the time it was over I felt I was back to my fullest self. Thank you, Phoebe
