GOOD GRIEF LOUNGE
Conversations about life, death and dying
Special Event Friday 8 August [No August 2]
11am - 1pm, Northern Arts Hotel
359 Barker Street, Castlemaine
DYING TO KNOW DAY 2025
Delve into Buddhism
The August Good Grief Lounge will celebrate this dedicated day focused on encouraging open conversations about death, dying, and end-of-life planning. The goal of the day is in line with the purpose of the Good Grief Lounges to normalise these conversations and empower individuals to make informed decisions about their end-of-life wishes.
On this special day, we will be honoured by the presence of two principals from the Great Stupa of Universal Compassion - the Buddhist temple in Myers Flat, near Bendigo that provides a serene and welcoming setting for all who seek time out from busy lives or wish to learn about and practise Buddhism.
Venerable Drime will lead us in a discussion about the Buddhist philosophy, followed by Memorial Manager & Prayer Wheel Sponsorship Coordinator, Angela Hemley who will speak about the Memorial options offered at the Great Stupa.
Good Grief Lounges are monthly conversations and experiences on life, death and dying, interlaced with the healing power of the arts.
Grief Counsellors attend the sessions in the relaxing environment of the Northern Arts Hotel
