Good Jobs Here: Help Us Tell the Story - January 2026 (Online)
Description
One of the key goals of our Grow the Workforce strategy is to help the sector attract and retain talented, capable, and values-aligned people. Our recent workforce survey and planning consultations have reinforced just how important this is—especially as the sector continues to grow and as we work towards building a workforce that reflects the diverse communities we serve.
We’re excited to share that we are in the early stages of developing a Jobs Awareness Toolkit for the sector, and we’d love your feedback as we move into the next phase.
This new resource aims to support the sector with both long-standing and emerging workforce challenges. It will offer a suite of tools designed to increase visibility of roles in our sector among current tertiary students, new and recent graduates, and skilled workers looking to bring their transferable experience and shared values into this field.
To shape the key messages for raising awareness of careers in our sector, we’ve drawn on a range of existing WorkUP Queensland resources that capture the wisdom and insights of the workforce. We’ve also sought input and inspiration from the WorkUP Reference Group.
At this online consultation we will:
• Invite your feedback on the proposed key messages and the elements of the toolkit
• Share how you and your service can get involved in the development of the resources
Your insights and involvement will help us create a practical and meaningful suite of resources that highlights the value and impact of this work—and helps services attract the workforce of the future.
We hope to see you there!
