Join the Good Sports, Safe Steps and Better Health Network teams to hear how you can best support your members, players, volunteers, and community at your sports club.
We’ll discuss how you can inspire and support your members to lead a healthy lifestyle by building a safe, positive club culture. You’ll walk away with practical tips on how to actively cultivate a healthy, respectful, and thriving environment that benefits everyone involved and contributes positively to the broader community.

An overview of Good Sports
What the program can provide for your club to support members’ health and wellbeing
Why and how to proactively manage alcohol in sporting clubs.
Jennifer Stokes from Safe Steps will cover:
An overview of Safe Steps
What is family and domestic violence and who is impacted by it
Support services for those seeking help.
Claire Emmanuel from Better Health Network will cover:
The landscape of gambling and online gaming in Australia
The similarities between gambling and online gaming
The effects and impacts of gambling on the individuals and others around them
Signs and symptoms of gambling /online gaming addiction
Young people and the prevention of gambling/ online gaming harm and addiction
Support services to help people to recover from gambling addiction.
