Good Sports Forum: Karratha Sporting Clubs

Your club plays a critical role in supporting the physical and mental health of your members and local community.

Join the Good Sports team to find out how to build positive policies around alcohol management, smoking, mental health, illegal drugs, and safe transport to create a safe, friendly, healthy and inclusive environment.

You will learn about a range of different topics, including information about how to address risk factors in sporting clubs to help create a safer environment for your members, and how to promote this through your platforms to show your club welcomes everyone.

The session will cover:

• An overview of Good Sports and what the program can provide for your club.
• Building positive role modelling behaviours to create a safe, friendly and healthy environment.
• How to have conversations about alcohol, mental health, and other drugs.
• Preventing and reducing alcohol-related harms, including how to have safe celebrations.
• Safe transportation options for players and members to and from club events.
• How to complete a Free Club Health Check to help us to help you!
