Good Sports Community Sporting Forum Wangaratta: More Than a Game

Sporting clubs play a vital role in role modelling positive behaviours and creating a healthy community environment.

Join the Good Sports team to learn about what risk and protective factors are and how they contribute to the health and wellbeing of sporting clubs, encourage participation and creating a fun, safe and inclusive environment for the whole community.

You will learn about a range of different topics, including information about how to address risk factors in sporting clubs to help create a safer environment for your members, and how to promote this through your platforms to show your club welcomes everyone. 

In this session you will learn:

• How to create a safer and more inclusive environment for your members
• How to have conversations about Alcohol and Other Drugs
• Preventing and reducing alcohol harms, and understand what risk and protective factors are
• Tips for volunteer participation
