Good Sports Workshop: Alcohol Management in Rugby WA Clubs
Description
This workshop brings Rugby WA clubs together to share experiences and build knowledge on how to take action on reducing alcohol harm, with practical support from the Good Sports team.
Your club plays an important role in supporting the health and wellbeing of your members and local community, especially when it comes to behaviours around alcohol.
By putting policies and practices in place to manage alcohol responsibly, your club can be a community leader.
Join the Good Sports team to find out how you can help disrupt the link between alcohol and sport, reducing risky drinking and children’s exposure to alcohol.
The session will:
Explore how alcohol can cause harm in community sport environments
Engage clubs in discussion about how they currently manage alcohol including incidents, drink driving risk and juniors’ exposure to alcohol
Provide clubs with practical strategies for increasing the health and wellbeing of members and spectators
Discuss how the Good Sports program can help community sport implement alcohol and other drug policies and practices to create even safer and more family friendly sporting environments.
