Description

Good Tech Summit is a 2+ day gathering for practitioners leveraging emerging technology for social impact. Sessions are led by leaders from philanthropy, nonprofits, and technology who walk participants through what they've built, how they built it, and what the impact has been.

Hosted by Good Tech Together, the Summit convenes nonprofits, funders, and technology companies in a vendor-neutral environment to share lessons, align investments, and build the shared infrastructure needed to turn innovation into real-world impact. Whether you're a C-suite tech leader, product leader, developer, or program leader, this is the place to grow your skills and your community.

Who's in the room
Heads of Data, Analytics, AI, Product, and Technology; innovation, strategy, and impact-measurement leaders; program officers funding technology and AI; learning and evaluation leaders; and applied AI, data infrastructure, and product specialists — spanning nonprofits, foundations, and purpose-driven tech partners. It's an audience of builders, not observers.

What to expect
Practitioner-led content open to all. Hands-on workshops, demos, and applied sessions. Office hours and structured networking. A high-trust, cross-sector community where nonprofits, government, philanthropy, and tech learn and build together.

Building on a strong first year
The inaugural Good Tech Summit '26 brought together 350+ attendees from 275+ organizations, including 100+ C-suite leaders and founders, with 75+ speakers across 15+ sessions. Nearly all (~94%) said they were likely to attend again.

FAQs

  • What is Good Tech Summit?

Good Tech Summit is a 2+ day gathering for practitioners leveraging emerging technology for social impact. Sessions are led by leaders from philanthropy, nonprofits, and technology who share what they've built, how they built it, and what the impact has been. It's hosted by Good Tech Together, which convenes nonprofits, funders, and technology companies in vendor-neutral environments to use data, AI, and technology responsibly and effectively.

  • When and where is it?

May 4–5, 2027, at the Grand Hyatt in Washington, DC. It's a 2+ day program, so plan for content across both days.

  • Who should attend?

The Summit is built for people who build, deploy, and govern technology — not theorize it. That includes heads of data, analytics, AI, and digital transformation; product and program leaders; developers; innovation, strategy, and impact-measurement leaders; learning and evaluation teams; and program officers exploring AI. Whether you're in the C-suite or hands-on in implementation, if you work at the intersection of technology and social impact, this is for you.

  • Who typically attends?

A cross-sector mix. Roughly 65–70% come from nonprofits, 20–25% from foundations and philanthropy, and about 10% from technology companies and partners. At Summit '26, the audience spanned 275+ organizations, including 100+ C-suite leaders and founders — and the majority were already using AI in their operations and programs.

  • What's the format? What can I expect?

Expect practitioner-led sessions, hands-on workshops, live demos, applied case studies, hosted office hours, and structured networking. The emphasis is on real implementation and peer learning in a high-trust, cross-sector environment — nonprofits, government, philanthropy, and tech building together in the same room.

  • Is this a sales-focused or vendor-led event?

No. The Summit is intentionally vendor-neutral. Content is practitioner-led and open to all, and technology partners participate as learners and collaborators rather than in a sales-led capacity.

  • Are scholarships or discounted tickets available?

Yes — a limited number of discounted and scholarship tickets are available to keep the Summit accessible.

  • Can my organizations sponsor Good Tech Fest?

Yes. Partnership levels range from Community Partner to Founding Partner, with custom opportunities designed for meaningful engagement with the community. Reach out to Andrew Means (andrew@goodtechtogether.org) or Brian Komar (brian@goodtechtogether.org) to discuss.
