About Joanne Lynam- Speaker & Author

Joanne Lynam is a social justice warrior, and an advocate for change. She is on a mission to empower people with disability. As the mother of two adopted sons from Sri Lanka, and of a daughter who was born with disability, Townsville-based Joanne has tackled bruising and cruelly dismissive bureaucracy and prejudice for many years.

Her rich life experience and unique outlook – and ability to see deeply into the heart of society’s problems – have equipped her to light the way for other parents and carers of people who live on the margins of life. She knows that it is her life’s work to advocate for the voiceless, and to help them reach their potential. She has created this website to inspire and inform – and to help parents and carers make a radical difference to the lives of their loved ones.
