Goolwa Coastcare: Boult Reserve Community Planting Day
Event description
Come and help Goolwa Coastcare Group and the wider community plant hundreds of native rushes, sedges, grasses and ground covers to improve aesthetics and provide greater areas of habitat for a range of declining butterflies and birds.
Free lunch provided on conclusion. Please include any dietary requirements when you register.
Supported and approved by Alexandrina Council and Second Nature Conservancy, this ephemeral wetland will see a total of 2,000 low growing local flora seedlings planted and guarded with biodegradable tree guards on the site. It will be largely focused on low growing local native species around the edges of the site.
The site is known as Boult Reserve, and is bordered by Reed Place, Boult Street, Keightly Road and the Boundary of Tokuremoar Reserve. It is an Alexandrina Council Reserve.
