About International Women’s Day (IWD):
Since its inception in the early 1900s, International Women’s Day has been a global movement born out of labour movements and the fight for women’s rights, opportunities, and recognition. First observed in 1911, IWD continues to honor women’s achievements and advocate for gender equality, now marking 114 years of progress.
