Gouache and Watercolour Demonstration with Gabrielle Vines

See Brisbane based artist, Gabrielle Vines demonstrating her techniques with Watercolour and Gouache. Discover the differences of each and how they can be used to create beautiful artworks.
This demo will also showcase different papers and brushes.

Whilst this is demonstration there may be the opportunity to try some of the materials on the day.

Parking is available onsite infront of the shop and also on the side streets nearby.

About the artist:

Gabrielle is passionate about showing people the joys of creating. Art has been an important part of her mental health journey, helping her heal and appreciate the world around her. It allows her to slow down, process emotions, and interrupt overthinking. The natural world is a key theme in her work, along with exploring color, texture, and the unique properties of different pigments. Nature journaling is central to her process, often hiking with her dog and painting or sketching on-site. Gabrielle also loves playing with surreal concepts and incorporating tea-wear and ceramics into her landscapes and still lifes. Recently embraced the freedom of mixed media using gouache, acrylics, coloured pencils and oil pastels but watercolour will always be her first love.
