(3) Jeff and DeeJ trio will be playing 3-5pm and Moondog 5.30- 7.30pm on Sunday 13th Feb.

The Goulburn Club will feature Three days of Blues performers from Friday Feb 11 to Sunday Feb 13 with some performances in the Club's outdoor courtyard (weather permitting) and others in the Club's Durack and Gallery Rooms.

Featured artists include:

Stephanie Marchant and the Monster Band came together in 2013 with Illya Szwec on guitar, the late Vito Portolesi on bass, and George Brugmans on drums. They performed at a residency at The Merton Hotel in Rozelle for over five years with a repertoire of blues, soul, R&B and the odd re-gram of modern classics. Mike Rix has joined the monsters on bass and we are currently recording some original songs. Stephanie’s voice has been likened to Aretha Franklin, Janis Joplin, Linda Ronstadt, Amy Winehouse, Tracy Chapman and, most recently, a wayward angel. https://www.stephaniemarchant.space

George Washingmachine has been involved in the entertainment industry since last century. He has worked in television, theatre & film. He finds the greatest pleasure though in  travelling  around Australia and various parts of the world playing music and making art. George continues to appear at all the major jazz and arts festivals in Australia. In 1997 he toured France and Holland and appeared at the Edinburgh Jazz Festival. In 1998 he toured Germany, Holland, Sweden and Finland with Ian  Date.  https://georgewashingmachine.com

Moondog is a master of the blues harmonica and a formidable guitarist, singer and song writer. His voice holds a deep authenticity reminiscent of the great Blues/Soul singers of old. Get set for some foot-stompin’ tunes as Moon Dog brings the place to life with vocals, harmonica and guitar.

Jeff and Deej: Cruisy Bluesy vibes from the bars of New Orleans to the swamps of southern Texas.  Featuring the dynamic talents of Dorothy-Jane “Deej” “DJ” Gosper, recognised for her expressive vocal and harmonica playing, and years of dedication to the heart and soul of Blues and Roots music in Canberra and beyond. Her “Nina Simone-esque sultry smoky voice is filled with a spirit that makes you want to conquer mountains” (Andy G, Gee Force UK).  Her distinctive harmonica style is “hypnotic” and she makes her harmonica “strut like an alley cat!” (Rory McCartney, BMA Magazine).  Also a solid rhythm guitar player, Gosper makes way for Jeff Prime’s guitar prowess to shine. Jeff’s background is steeped in the Blues, evident in his “precise guitar playing” (Tony Smith, Trad & Now) accompanying and soloing on resonator, acoustic and electric guitars.  Bassist and vocalist, Dean Edgecombe, a seasoned player whose first love is the Blues, completes the trio. Jeff, Deano and DJ are also song-writers. Seven of their original songs are on the debut album, “Blues By Candelight” - a mix of Traditional Blues dating back to the 1920's to contemporary, melodic ballads.  https://dorothy-jane.com/jeff_and_deej
