Goulburn Region Tourism Partnership – Visitor Economy Partnership - Industry Roundtable

Industry is invited to have their say regarding the future governance arrangement for tourism in the Goulburn Region.

The Victorian Government recently released the Visitor Economy Partnership Framework, which will introduce changes to the state regional tourism network. The Framework details a new way of working in partnership with industry, Councils and Regional Tourism Boards (RTBs) to support the growth of the visitor economy.

The Framework details that all RTBs will transition to new structures, which will be referred to as Visitor Economy Partnerships (VEP). VEP’s will be the peak body for regional tourism in each region. Importantly, as the Goulburn Region, is not represented by a RTB, the Framework will allow for all regions of Victoria to be represented by a VEP and be a part of the regional tourism network. This is an exciting opportunity for our region to be further supported by Government as a recognised tourism region.

The Goulburn Region Tourism Partnership is supporting the co-design process with industry and State Government for the region’s future Visitor Economy Partnership. This roundtable event will allow industry to share their ideas, provide feedback and express how they would like to be best supported by a VEP into the future.

There is three roundtables events available to attend, with one hosted in each local government area. The content discussed will be consistent at all roundtables so you will only need to registered for one event. When registering for the event you will be able to select which event location you would like to attend. All events will have light catering provided.
