About the Speaker
Ibrahim El Badawi is an international expert in digital transformation and the founder of the GovTech Dubai-born startup 01Gov that focuses on designing the government of the future in the Middle East and the Global South. Prior to launching his startup, he worked for six years as a strategist for the digital government program in Dubai, UAE. Ibrahim collaborates with international institutions including the United Nations and The Open Data Institute in the UK. In addition to government agencies in Australia, Singapore, Estonia, UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and others.
As a GovTech expert, he has recently contributed to the global GovTech Report 2022 from Deep Knowledge Group in San Francisco. His most recent activities included facilitating a global virtual lab on public policy with participants from Sydney, to New York to Marrakech.
Ibrahim is also a Partner at Smart Humans, a new Australian platform that enables people to make informed decisions about technology and its place in their life.
At the moment, Ibrahim’s key driving passion is enabling conversations to design a sustainable and inclusive post-COVID future.
