Governance Skills: Build your Board's confidence & capacity
Event description
Local community groups and not-for-profits organisations are required to maintain a skilled and informed Board or Committee to lead their activities. This can be an ongoing challenge to engage the right people with the right capabilities.
We know this is an important issue for many local groups. Please join other not-for-profit and community organisations operating in Taree and Wingham for an interactive and practical workshop, including case studies and opportunities to reflect on your organisation and areas for growth and development.
Who should attend: Board members, volunteers, paid members of community groups and NFP's in Taree and Wingham
What we’ll do and discuss:
- Role and responsibilities of the Board
- Practical considerations for all Boards
- How to conduct a simple Board ‘health check’
- Identify practical approaches and tools to use within your organisation
Venue: The Auditorium, Club Taree, 121 Wingham Road, Taree.
