Grandparents and Special Friends' Week 2025
Event description
We are delighted to welcome grandparents and special friends of students from Early Years to Year 6 to join us for Grandparents and Special Friends' Week, a special celebration of connection and community.
Beginning at 9.00am, guests will have the opportunity to visit classrooms where students will showcase their learning, enjoy games, and connect through conversation. During this time, morning tea, kindly provided by the SPSC Foundation, will be served in each classroom.
Following the classroom visits, guests are welcome to join an optional tour of the Senior School, departing from the Junior School Function Space at 10.00am. The tour will be guided by the Headmaster, Tim Browning, and will include a special focus on Memorial Hall in recognition of the St Peter’s College Foundation’s 40th anniversary this year. The Foundation was established in 1985 following an outpouring of support from the School community to rebuild Memorial Hall, originally constructed to honour old scholars and staff who gave their lives in the Great War, after it was devastated by fire.
Parking
It is recommended that guests use the North Terrace car park. Limited parking will be available in The Avenues (enter through the gates on Trinity Street). We also suggest catching a taxi or Uber to the North Terrace entrance. Some parking is available in the School’s Hackney Road car park and in adjacent side streets.
