Grandparents and VIP Day 2025
Event description
We are excited to invite you to our annual Grandparents & VIP Day, taking place in the final week of Term 1 This popular annual event is a wonderful opportunity for our special guests to enjoy performances by our talented students, meet our dedicated teachers and explore the exciting SCAS campus.
For students whose grandparents are unable to attend, we warmly welcome them to invite a family friend, aunt, or uncle to share in the day. Additionally, we have many generous grandparents who volunteer as ‘adopted’ grandparents, ensuring that every child has someone to celebrate with.

SCAS Campus
The program of the day is designed for you to visit classrooms, followed by a concert and morning tea in the Iona Sports Stadium.
9:15am – 10:00am | Classroom visits with your grandchild or special guest
10:15am – 11:00am | Concert featuring student performances in the Iona Stadium
11:00am – 11:30am | Morning tea in the Iona Sports Stadium
Important Information
Parents & Attendance
Due to the large number of visitors—over 600 in recent years—this event is exclusively for grandparents and VIP guests. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all, parents are not able to attend unless assisting a visitor with mobility needs. We appreciate your understanding.
Parking & Arrival
Traffic around the school can be problematic before 9:00 am. Please do not arrive any earlier. Parking is limited on the school grounds, so we advise families to arrange a drop off at Kiss and Drop or park outside the school grounds and walk into the campus. A small amount of parking will be available at the back oval carpark, and we ask that if you are able to use other options, then this will make it easier for our less mobile visitors who would benefit from closer parking.
Uniform and costume requirements for students:
All students will be wearing their formal uniform on this day. Costumes will be accessories only, provided by the Performing Arts Department.
