Event description

As a young artist navigating the digital world, I’ve often felt how difficult it can be to find real, lasting creative connections. That’s why I started the Grandpa’s Book Club Literary Salon—a space shaped by the books that have moved me most, and designed to bring people together through thoughtful conversation.

These one-off events are about connection—through literature, through ideas, and shared presence. The relationships formed inside the salon extend well beyond the night itself.

For our next gathering, we’ll be reading Biography of X by Catherine Lacey—a hypnotic, genre-blurring novel about art, grief, obsession, and the stories we invent to survive love. It’s a book made for collective unpacking, and we’ll explore its many layers together in an open, welcoming space where mood matters more than rules.

Each month, I’ll announce the pick, venue, and date over on Instagram. The salons are intimate by design—just 25 spots each time—so every guest has room to speak, think, and connect at their own pace.

What’s Included:

  • A copy of Biography of X by Catherine Lacey, delivered to your door from a local independent bookshop

  • Entry to the in-person salon event

  • Wine and snacks on the night

  • Access to a private ongoing online chat with discussion prompts and space for continued reflection between gatherings

If you’re craving a space to connect, think deeply, and experience books in a new way, I’d love for you to be part of it.
