Literary Salon (27th of September)
Event description
As a young artist navigating the digital world, I’ve often felt how difficult it can be to find real, lasting creative connections. That’s why I started the Grandpa’s Book Club Literary Salon, a space shaped by the books that have moved me most, and designed to bring people together through thoughtful conversation.
These one-off events are about connection, through literature, through ideas, and shared presence. The relationships formed inside the salon extend well beyond the night itself.
For our next gathering, we’ll be reading Love in the Big City by Sang Young Park, a sharp, funny, and deeply tender novel about love, friendship, queerness, and finding yourself in the electric pulse of a city that never stops moving. It’s a book that brims with energy and ache, made for collective unpacking. Together, we’ll explore its humour, heartbreak, and the way it captures intimacy in all its messy, beautiful forms, inside an open, welcoming space where mood matters more than rules.
Each month, I announce the pick, venue, and date over on Instagram. The salons are intimate by design, just 25 spots each time, so every guest has room to speak, think, and connect at their own pace.
What’s Included:
Entry to the in-person salon event
Wine and snacks on the night
Access to early announcements and booking for future book club launches
For this salon, you’ll be sourcing your own copy of the book, whether that’s borrowing it from your local library, reading it on an e-reader, listening to the audiobook, or purchasing it from your favourite independent bookshop.
If you’re craving a space to connect, think deeply, and experience books in a new way, I’d love for you to be part of it.
