Description

In this "New Hampshire Hands at Work" session, learners will explore the transition from human-made to machine-made production in New Hampshire and learn all about the history of mills in the Granite State. Kids will be able to try out different methods of making a product and even get a chance to work on a simulated conveyor belt. Click "Register" to sign up.

This is recommended for ages 6 to 12. The registration fee is $25 per child per session with a $5 sibling discount. Space is limited, and advance registration is strongly encouraged.

"New Hampshire Hands at Work" is one of two hands-on workshops occurring on Monday, January 25. Register for the afternoon session, “Immigration and the Granite State," from 1:30 to 4 pm by clicking this link.

Caregivers can drop learners off provided they sign a waiver or remain for the program. Note that New Hampshire Historical Society staff cannot supervise children during the 12:30-1:30 session break between Session 1 and 2.

The snow date for this program is February 1, 2027.
