Description

“Immigration and the Granite State,” uses maps, touchable artifacts, and games to help kids learn about the Great Wave of immigration from 1840 to 1924, when thousands of people came to New Hampshire to start new lives.

This session is recommended for ages 6 to 12.The registration fee is $25 per child per session with a $5 sibling discount. Space is limited, and advance registration is strongly encouraged.

"Immigration and the Granite State" is one of two hands-on workshops occurring on Monday, January 25. Register for the morning session, “New Hampshire Hands at Work," from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 pm, by clicking this link.

Caregivers can drop learners off provided they sign a waiver or remain for the program. Note that New Hampshire Historical Society staff cannot supervise children during the 12:30-1:30 session break between Session 1 and 2.

The snow date is February 1, 2027.
