Grants 101 - Bendigo Bank Clubs SA Club Development Program
Description
Grants 101
Grants can be a valuable source of income for clubs, but only when they’re pursued strategically, prepared for properly and aligned to what your club is actually trying to achieve. This module gives Committee members and club Managers a practical grounding in grant funding. We cover the different types and sources of grants available to SA clubs, how to assess whether a grant or a funder is the right fit for your organisation, and what funders are really looking for when they assess an application. We look at the documentation clubs need to have already prepared, what it means to be ‘shovel ready’, and how to make the most of the resources available to you. We also examine alternate revenue streams, because grants aren’t the only answer, and a club that relies too heavily on grants is missing other opportunities and is taking on unnecessary risk. By the end of this session, you’ll have a clearer picture of where grants fit in your club’s financial strategy, what it takes to put forward a competitive application, and what a successful grant outcome actually looks like beyond the funding announcement.
