Event description
A grape pruning workshop will be held this coming Thursday at Joe's Connected Garden. There will also be one on Saturday morning at the same time: if we don't get enough starters for Thursday or the weather is really bad we may have to transfer the Thursday group to Saturday. The continuous wet weather this winter has made it difficult to plan our pruning program. Please dress sensibly for the weather and check back before coming to make sure it hasn't been cancelled. The workshop is free but donations toward the upkeep of the gardens are always gratefully accepted.
Many people are unaware that there are two distinct ways of pruning grapes and the very popular seedless grapes need to be cane pruned and you won't get any fruit if you prune them incorrectly. Come along and let the experts teach you!
