Graphic Voices of Latin America: La Linterna + DWRI Letterpress Workshop

For the first time in Providence, the master printers from the renown typographic printshop La Linterna in Cali, Colombia, will be offering a letterpress workshop in collaboration with artist, printer, and printmaker Dan Wood at his shop, DWRI Letterpress. 

You will be assisted in printing posters using DWRI’s collection of antique movable type and combine it with linocuts from La Linterna’s collection. This is a rare opportunity to meet and learn from printmakers with distinct backgrounds and techniques, while creating posters and running multiple sheets. Each participant will leave with a stack of finished prints. 

No previous printing experience is necessary.
