GRDC Harvester Set Up Workshop - Kukerin
Description
Grain growers, harvest contractors, machinery dealers and advisers are invited to a practical GRDC Harvester Set-up Workshop designed to improve harvest efficiency, grain quality and profitability.
Using a range of machinery and a manufacturer-agnostic approach, harvest specialists will demonstrate how to identify where losses occur, accurately measure grain losses and adjust harvester settings to improve performance.
Participants will learn how to:
measure and reduce grain losses
balance harvester throughput, grain quality and fuel efficiency
assess losses when using harvest weed seed control systems
calibrate loss sensors, yield monitors and other harvester technology
evaluate aftermarket tools designed to reduce losses
improve harvest safety and reduce operational risks
The workshop will combine technical information, practical demonstrations and discussion with experienced harvest specialists. Participants are encouraged to bring questions about their own machinery, harvest conditions and operational challenges.
The program is relevant to growers and contractors operating different harvester brands and models. Information will focus on practical principles that can be applied across machinery types.
