Great Aussie Crab Pot Review: Recreational Fisher Roundtable
Event description
Community Collaborating to Understand the Issue and Potential Solutions for Reducing Lost and Abandoned Crab Pots
We’re inviting all recreational fishers and waterway users to contribute to this discussion to better understand the locations, amounts, and reasons that lead to abandoned, lost, or discarded crab pots in Australian waterways. This is your opportunity to have your say on this important issue and help shape future solutions.
What to Expect
During this roundtable, we’ll be sharing the findings from our recent Great Aussie Crab Pot Review Survey. We’ll also host an open discussion, providing space for you to share your thoughts, insights, and experiences with fellow community members. We want to hear from you about current hotspots and potential management options to reduce crab pot loss and abandonment.
Your participation will directly feed into our upcoming roundtable discussions with both the manufacturing and retail industries as well as decision-makers. By joining us, you’ll help ensure community-led solutions are at the heart of addressing this issue in Australian waterways.
