Great Barrier Reef Clean-up 2024: Flagship event - Machans, Cairns
Event description
Tangaroa Blue Foundation, in collaboration with Clean Up Australia, is thrilled to announce that Senator Green will officially launch the ReefClean Great Barrier Reef Clean-up 2024 at Machans Beach on Tuesday 1st October.
Everyone is invited to join us for this special event. Help us clean-up Machans Beach and prevent marine debris from reaching the Reef.
No prior experience is necessary. Our friendly team leaders will teach you everything you need to know on the day.
Where: O'Shea Esplanade Reserve (Machans Beach, Cairns)
When: 12pm Tuesday 1st October
What to wear: Enclosed shoes and comfortable clothing.
What to bring: Sun/rain protection and plenty of drinking water (1 to 2 litres is recommended.) We try to ensure that all events are free from single-use plastic, so bring along your reusable water bottle. All other equipment and drinking water top-ups will be provided.
