Great Big Klezmer Ensemble
We welcome musicians of any instrument to join a glorious klezmer band, where we will learn tunes by ear. We will work on some basics of melodic klezmer ornamentation as well as chordal and rhythmic accompaniment, and learn how to groove together in the klezmer style.

Brooklyn-based Jake Shulman-Ment is among the most highly regarded klezmer musicians performing today. He tours and records internationally as a soloist, and with Midwood, Daniel Kahn, Joey Weisenberg, Abigale Reisman, Pete Rushefsky, and many others.
